My Mother had three cats at various times in her life and I had, through the years, as a birthday gift, done a painting of each one. She kept three chairs in front of a built-in cupboard in her dining room, so one year for her birthday instead of a painting I made chair pads for the chairs. I used this cat design which I pieced together like a quilt; one for the black cat, Barney and one for each of the yellow cats, Buffer and Teddy Bear.
