George and Alice DeShong Mellott were married in 1950 and were blessed with ten. The Mellott Family Farm quilt block design was designed to represent their family. The green triangles in the basket represent the four daughters and the red triangles represent their six sons. The basket is support by a green and red triangle representing George and Alice. The gold center represents God as being the center of their     family. The blue background represents the sky which provided sunshine grow their crops. The borders of green, yellow and brown represent their fields.
